Chemistry Department

To cater to the needs of the students in the Malwa region, B.Sc. course was introduced in S.D. College and then the department of Chemistry came into existence. The department started its working by imparting quality education in inorganic, organic and physical chemistry at the under - graduate level to B.Sc. Medical and Non-Medical students. The vision of the department is to provide comprehensive knowledge to students and to familiarize them with its practical relevance. Our greatest strength is the outstanding faculty of the department. There are two well-equipped and spacious laboratories and well established departmental library. The department has grown progressively and widened its spectrum by organizing guest lectures, national seminars, quiz contests, PowerPoint presentation sessions by students and model-making competitions. The department has shown excellent progress over the years as 8-10 students pursue post-graduation from various reputed institutesevery year. The college management, principal and the department faculty strive to serve the students with the best of knowledge and infrastructural facilities.
